Biography:
Born in 1980 in Vienna in Vienna, Matthias Kranebitter received his first musical training in piano and clarinet in the Music School Margareten Vienna. Upon completion of the AHS 1998, he first began to study mathematics at the University of Vienna, before he enrolled at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna in 2000. He studied in the class with Dieter Kaufmann and later with German Toro-Perez electroacoustic composition, in the class of Klaus Peter Sattler media composition and applied music and piano with Christiane Karajev. Upon completion of these studies, he attended postgraduate studies in composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Since 2009 he lives and works in Austria and is attending postgraduate studies in composition at the University of Music in Graz with Alexander Stankovski.
